Seven Apps, One Craft describes the original seven-app framing of ArtCraft's creative tools. The official Crafting Apps directory now says ‘Thirteen apps. One craft.’ It lists thirteen separate, free, open-source applications built in Rust, spanning image and vector editing, video, PDFs, publishing, interface design, office work, audio and CAD. These are independent apps in one family, not a single finished Adobe Creative Cloud replacement.
This is a documentation-based guide, checked October 23, 2026. The status labels and platform availability below come from ArtCraft's official app directory; we have not independently benchmarked or security-audited all thirteen apps. Check each app's page and latest release before installing it or depending on it for client work.
What Does ‘Seven Apps, One Craft’ Mean Today?
The first seven entries in ArtCraft's current lineup address familiar creative jobs: photos, vectors, video, raw photo management, PDFs, effects and page layout. Six further entries cover interface design, word processing, audio, presentations, CAD and spreadsheets. The directory currently counts thirteen, so ‘seven’ is useful as an older search phrase rather than the current app count.
ArtCraft uses the same brand for an AI image and video studio. This page covers the Crafting Apps listed at /apps; the studio has its own download and pricing pages. The project's broad Rust and local-file principles are claims from the official directory, not a guarantee that each early build has feature parity with an established commercial editor.

The Seven Creative Apps
These are the first seven apps in the official lineup. Adobe names below describe the closest familiar workflow, not a promise of file, plugin or feature parity, and none is an Adobe product. Status is ArtCraft's own label as checked on October 23, 2026.

The Other Six: ArtCraft's Full 13-App Lineup
The newer entries extend the family beyond Adobe-style creative workflows. FigCraft is the third app marked early alpha; the other five are marked in development. ArtCraft lists CADCraft, not SolidCraft, as the CAD app in this suite.

How to Download the ArtCraft Apps
Start at the official Crafting Apps directory and choose the app you want. The directory recommends ArtCraft Launcher for installing and updating the family; its GitHub repository explains how it selects a package for your operating system and processor and checks published SHA-256 checksums. Download the launcher from its official GitHub Releases page, then select an app in the launcher. You can instead use the standalone download on an app's official page.
The directory marks installers ready for all thirteen, but the status labels still matter: a downloadable build may be incomplete. macOS, Windows and Linux are listed across the lineup. The directory's WebAssembly note names twelve apps and omits FilmCraft, so do not assume a browser build for FilmCraft from the current directory. Browser builds may require self-hosting; check the individual app page before expecting a hosted editor.

What Do ‘Early Alpha’ and ‘In Development’ Mean?
The official directory labels PhotoCraft, PdfCraft and FigCraft early alpha and the remaining ten in development. Those are the developer's status labels, not our usability scores. We would try a copy of a representative file, confirm that saving and reopening works, and keep the original file before moving real work into any of these builds.
An installer being available does not establish workflow completeness, compatibility with every Adobe file, or readiness for professional deadlines. Check the specific app's releases and issue tracker for the operations you need. We have not tested every app or binary in the suite.

ArtCraft Crafting Apps vs Adobe Creative Cloud
Scroll sideways to compare with Adobe Creative Cloud
| Compare | ArtCraft Crafting Apps | Adobe Creative Cloud |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free to use | Subscription plans vary |
| Source | Public source; app-specific licenses | Proprietary apps |
| Files | Local-file workflows described by ArtCraft | Desktop apps plus cloud features |
| Platforms | macOS, Windows and Linux listed | Platforms differ by Adobe app |
| Readiness | Three early alpha; ten in development | Established commercial suite |
The comparison is about the official distribution and product positioning, not a hands-on performance verdict. Adobe Creative Cloud remains the safer choice when a deadline depends on a particular mature workflow or exact exchange with collaborators. ArtCraft is more interesting if a free, local-first, open-source tool fits your work and you can tolerate development-stage limitations. Test your actual file formats and required features before switching.

Crafting Apps vs the ArtCraft AI Studio
ArtCraft's homepage now leads with a separate AI image and video studio. Its scene composition and model-based generation workflow is different from opening a document in PhotoCraft or one of the other Crafting Apps. The studio's homepage says it can be used without a subscription; its pricing page offers optional subscriptions and credits for generation. Check that live page for current terms rather than assuming the Crafting Apps and AI generations have the same costs.
The official directory describes Crafting Apps as free to use, open source and local-file oriented. Studio generation can involve model services and credits, so the studio's privacy and cost expectations should be checked separately.
